We have a home!

Finally, after 16 weeks of living in a 30 square meter hotel room, the furniture arrived and we moved into our apartment!

Last night was the first night we slept there. The movers came last Saturday at 8:30 AM, carried everything up to the tenth floor, put together the beds and tables before leaving at 12:30 PM when we also left for Rodolfo´s barbecue to celebrate Brazil kicking the French out of the World Cup (... well, that didn´t happen!).


On the Sunday we celebrated at Gordão, a 50´s style hamburger place. Banana Split for desert.

Sunday and Monday we unpacked and did laundry, nothing was damaged by mold but after all that time the clothes were smelling kind of funky. The apartment still looks like a warehouse with all unpacked boxes and we need to buy some additional furniture, get cable-TV, a telephone line and Internet but it is a home!
