Working in Cancun, Mexico...

I attended a customer event in Cancun. Very nice. Why can´t all work weeks be like this... Wake up late in the morning, have a great breakfast with everything included, then sit in a nice conference room with unlimited supply of coffee, listening to interesting presentations, chat with customers in the breaks, taco buffe for lunch, more coffe and presentations then take a nap in the five star hotel room bed before changing for the Mexican buffé dinner with dance show on stage, then hit a night club before going to bed. And the next day it starts all over again...

As an extracurricular activity we visited Xcaret, it´s a place with Mayan ruins that has been turned into an attraction park but without the rollercoasters. Fun and educative. We ate dinner while watching a game of Pok ta Pok, an ancient rubber ball game. The sport goes back 1000 years BC and is about to become extinct.

During the dinner we also saw a great dance and music show that presented how Mexico´s culture has developed and changed over the years. We saw Ribbon Dance (Baile de las Cintas), Feather Dance (Danza de las Plumas) from Yucatán, Old Men Dance (Danza de los Viejitos de Jarácuaro) from Michoacan, Stamping Dance (Zapateado), Papantla Fliers and Carnival from Veracruz, Rope Tricks from Jalisco and Mariachis from Tabasco. And more...

The view from my hotel room...
