Eric is here!

As you can see from earlier posts our son Eric has now arrived! He was born on November 9 at 1:38 PM at Hospital Policlin in Sao Jose dos Campos, SP, Brazil. He weighed 3680 grams and measured 49 centimeters! Silvia did a great job. We are now home again, Sunday night was the first night at home with our new family member and it was kind of stressful, i.e no sleep for anyone! Yesterday was an incredible turnaround however; logistics worked and the customer was happy and we could actually sleep between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM!

Gabriela is happy about having a baby brother but there is some jealousy lingering about as well... She is no longer the single ruler of the country Svenssonia! Eric is happy as long as he is fed, warm and dry so we put extra attention on Gabriela these days.

Paternity leave in Brazil is five days. That is five consecutive days! Not work days and Eric was born on a Friday... Luckily enough Nov 15 and 16 are holidays in Brazil so I get ten days at home with a familha.
