In Brazil and Mexico

Last week I was back in São Paulo and Mexico D.F. again. It was quite a busy week with two seminars and two full days of account meetings. I thought the weather was going to be bad but we saw nothing but sunshine. Nice to meet with old friends in the Brazilian office. Apart from pushing insights on competitors strengths and weaknesses to the local organizations we also had time to eat some great food. In 'Sampa' we went to Churrascaria OK to eat grilled wildboar and crocodile among other meats. My favourite is picanha though, grilled with nothing but coarse salt. Very nice! For dessert we had the classical 'Creme de papaya com licor de Cassis'.

In Mexico it was great to meet old friends. Carlos took his family and me to Villa Maria where Ady and I had huge Frozen Margaritas, the glasses were so big they looked more like fountains for babptizing children! I had a 'Filete de Macho', said to be spicy and hot but I did not feel it at all - a proof I am very, very macho!

"Do we drink or swim in these glasses, Ady?"

I also had time to meet with Rafael and Carolina (not Carro!) and their beautiful little daughter Avril. Rafael and I used to work together in the Caribbean. Carolina (not Carro!) made delicious arepas that we ate with cooked ham, goat cheese, avocado and some other things together with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Rafael's sister with husband and a friend was there also so it became a party :-)
